PAIGE NELSON

My name is Paige.

I'm an aspiring photographer with an insatiable curiosity and an appetite for the fantastic.

This blog is dedicated to my greatest passion- photography. All of the photos on here are mine unless otherwise stated.

I feel like I wear this outfit for photos too much…oops.
I get a little cranky when I think I’m going to run out of light and I had 2 minutes until it disappeared. I was setting up frantically when these two guys in a pick up pulled over and started harassing me about what I was doing. I snapped and said, “What does it look like I’m doing? I’m trying to taking a damn picture.”
Well they didn’t like that. They sped off saying “Fuck you” repeatedly. Can someone please tell me why people have such a hard time minding their own damn business? Sheesh.
Rant ends.

Another shot from my trip to Hollywood that I wanted to upload…took damn near forever to edit this. That ivy wall was just irresistible.
I received an email confirmation that all of my goodies just shipped and should be here later this week. :D

Am I the only one who falls asleep on their computer in the middle of editing only to wake up later with an angry red imprint from my keyboard on my face? Yes? Ok then.
Look at this magnificent purple tree I found!

I don’t do many photos looking at the camera, but I wanted to express something honest. I swear this song was written about me…story of my life.

I’m broke but I’m happy, I’m poor but I’m kind
I’m short but I’m healthy, yeah
I’m high but I’m grounded, I’m sane but I’m overwhelmed
I’m lost but I’m hopeful, baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything’s gonna be fine, fine, fine
‘Cause I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five
I feel drunk but I’m sober, I’m young and I’m underpaid
I’m tired but I’m working, yeah
I care but I’m restless, I’m here but I’m really gone
I’m wrong and I’m sorry baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything is going to be quite alright
‘Cause I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is flicking a cigarette
What it all comes down to
Is that I haven’t got it all figured out just yet
‘Cause I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a peace sign
I’m free but I’m focused, I’m green but I’m wise
I’m hard but I’m friendly, baby
I’m sad but I’m laughing, I’m brave but I’m chicken shit
I’m sick but I’m pretty baby
And what it all boils down to
Is that no one’s really got it figured out just yet
I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is playing the piano
And what it all comes down to, my friends, yeah
Is that everything is just fine fine fine
I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is hailing a taxi cab

Via Flickr: Hopped up on caffeine all day. I felt kind of invincible. Departing from my usual nature scenes for something more urban….Four minutes into shooting my battery dies. With twenty minutes of light left, I raced home, charged for five and went back. Only took ten minutes to shoot. :)
