PAIGE NELSON

My name is Paige.

I'm an aspiring photographer with an insatiable curiosity and an appetite for the fantastic.

This blog is dedicated to my greatest passion- photography. All of the photos on here are mine unless otherwise stated.

I should re-title this project to “365 ways to flip your hair.” I’m trying to do more pictures with my eyes in them.
Almost got a ticket for parking in the park after 7…we got a warning instead. Security guard is crazy…I think he might have recognized me from last time.
My friends mom is getting married today! I’m going to get some pictures. Gotta go! Have a nice day everyone. :)
Psst view large (on Flickr).

Don’t stray
Oh, say say say
Oh, say say say
Wait, they don’t love you like i love you
Left Six Flags just in time to catch the fading light. Perfect way to end an amazing day. :)
Going to the Delmar Fair tonight!

138/365: Spectrum on Flickr.Via Flickr:When we first came here
We were cold and we were clear
With no colors in our skin
We were light and paper thin
And when we first came here
we were cold and we were clear
With no colors in our skin
‘Til we let the spectrum in
Say my name
And every color illuminates
We are shining
And we will never be afraid again
Florence and the Machine
Cheez. You should view large.

136/365: Basic Space on Flickr.Via Flickr:I’ll take you in pieces
We can take it all apart
I’ve softened shipwrecks right from the start
I’ve been underwater
Breathin’ out and in
I think I’m losin’ where you end and I begin
Basic space
Openin’
Don’t look away
When there’s nothin’
There
I got a little too brave in the sun the other day and got a gnarly sunburn. I have to put aloe on every 10 minutes. I haven’t been able to go outside and shoot because the sun hurts. :(
This also took a million years to edit. None of the lines would match up when I was trying to expand it…it’s not perfect but I’m sick of looking at it and need to upload so here you go! Better on black.

119/365: Ishtar Gate on Flickr.Via Flickr:
Week two of my “Art through the Ages” collaboration with Glenda. Her photo should be up soon!
Next on the timeline is Mesopotamian art. The Ishtar Gate was the eighth gate to the inner city of Babylon constructed in 575 B.C.
Inspired by the blues and golds…and the lions of course. I was thinking about how to incorporate them and then I remembered I have a mane of my own.
Somewhat awkward shooting this since I live in such an urban area…this brick wall is the backside of a restaurant facing a parking lot. Getting pretty comfortable doing odd things with strangers watching. I’m pretty satisfied with how this turned out. :)
