One of the images I created at the Wild Ones Workshop in Los Angeles a couple weeks ago. I waited most of the day for the sun to set over this creek and wasn’t disappointed.
We had the opportunity to shoot with some fairytale dresses by designer Michelle Hebert , adorned by some beautiful models.
If you ever thought of going, or if you have never heard of this workshop, I highly recommend checking it out next summer. Thank you Joel, Sarah and Shane for such an amazing weekend. :)

This is from my solo roadtrip up the California coast a few weeks ago. There’s something exhilirating about traveling by yourself, on your own terms. I brought back a fresh perspective and a deeper appreciation for the little things in my life. I feel creatively rejuvenated.
Traveling up Highway 1 from San Diego to San Francisco took me about 10 hours each way. When you start itching to see some new places, just go out there and do it.

Came to realize
It’s a dangerous size
The mountain the mountain
Came to recognize
It’s steep and rocky sides

Your protector’s coming home
Keep your secrets with you, girl
Safe from the outside world
You walk along the stream
Your head caught in a waking dream
Your protector’s coming home
Coming home
Fleet Foxes
Making up for that week I missed. Here’s my first idea from yesterday.

Storing up the clues, it had it’s sullen blue bruised through by showing
Settle past a patience where wishes and your will are spilling pictures
Water’s running through in the valley where we grew to write this scripture:
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
-Bon Iver
Found this sweet dead tree near my house. It overlooks a canyon so it was kind of scary doing this. I missed yesterday’s photo….but I have something awesome planned for today. :)

65 days?? Only 300 to go! Here’s some more magic bokeh and flying hair for you.
I was a nice surprise to find an invitation to Getty Images in my Flickr mail this morning. :) Kind of a random selection of my work if you ask me but that’s ok.
I went into Michael’s today for some photo props. It’s kind of funny when you’re in the check out line and you look in other people’s shopping carts. Most of the time it’s a random assortment of strange objects that have nothing in common.
P.S. Explosions in the Sky may be one of the greatest instrumental bands I’ve ever heard.

Via Flickr: A beautiful day spent in Julian with good company. I was driving most of the day but it was so worth it. Me and my friend Amanda explored Lake Cuyamaca, multiple view points and private property. The nice, gooey carmel apple at the end of the day completed the trip. :)

So last time I tried this project I only made it through a month. Taking only self-portraits was a bigger task than I anticipated. This time you will see an array of pictures from my everyday life.
I don’t really think this is cheating. I visited my grandparents in Arizona last October and haven’t uploaded the pictures until recently.
Santa was good to me this year…must have been on the nice list. He brought me Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom. :) Needless to say I am a very happy camper.
