143/365: The Birth and Death of the Day on Flickr.
Explosions in the sky.
Too tired to edit today’s photo. Nighty night.
142/365:Pass the Hat on Flickr.
I needed a change of scenery to get me out of my rut. I’m finally feeling inspired again.
I wasn’t able to get to the other photo I took today…it’s my favorite. More tomorrow…until then good night. :)
135/365: Daydream in Blue on Flickr.
Daydream, I fell asleep amid the flowers,
for a couple of hours, on a beautiful day.
Daydream, I dream of you amid the flowers,
for a couple of hours, such a beautiful day.
134/365: Cosmic Love on Flickr.
The stars, the moon,
They have all been blown out,
You left me in the dark,
No dawn, No day,
I’m always in this twlight,
In the shadow of your heart
Florence and the Machine
Hey guys remember me?
I am so far behind. You can expect a flurry of uploads in the upcoming days because it is FINALLY SUMMER! And I am all moved in (with wifi). :)
I think this is the cleanest expansion I have ever attempted.
132/365: Tiger Mountain Peasant Song on Flickr.
To banner fair
To follow you softly
In the cold mountain air
Through the forest
Down to your grave
Where the birds wait
And the tall grasses wave
They do not
know you anymore
I am FINALLY caught up! :)
Feeling restless…a lot of things are about to change for me. Photography is my escape from reality, however brief that may be. For that I am forever grateful.
I got a little carried away and accidentally flung my remote into the grass. I spent a good 20 minutes looking for it…
125/365: Fields of Gold on Flickr.
Sitting in this field watching the sunset light up the field was therapeutic. I come back to this place almost everyday for photos. It’s beautiful…snails and all.
You’ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in the fields of gold
So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold
I will be caught up with editing later tonight. Working on my collab photo now.
118/365: Comfort Me on Flickr.
Feist is such an inspiration to me.
“When you comfort me
It doesn’t bring me comfort actually
When you comfort me
True life in haiku
And balances of phrase
Out of the blue
And meaning shown to you
Where does sadness see?
The mirror has a mirror in his teeth
That’s what sadness sees
Big sky, tiny bird
And when the paragraph betrays the word
Big sky, tiny bird”
114/365: Caught a Long Wind on Flickr.
Breathe in…breath out…just let it all go.
Little bird have you got a key?
Unlock the lock inside of me
Where will you go?
Keep yourself afloat
Feeling old until the wings unfolded
Caught me a long wind
Where will we go?
Keep ourselves afloat
106/365: Midwest skies and sleepless Mondays on Flickr.
This was sort of random and sporadic. I finished senior portraits at around 7 and was just going to give up shooting in natural light. Last minute I decided to keep driving and made it just in time to catch the fading light.
105/365: Bittersweet Melodies on Flickr.
Ahh, the light was so beautiful today. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a golden hour like this one. My last couple photos have been kind of dark, so this is a nice change.
This was probably one of my favorites to shoot…mostly because I’m lazy. I got to lay down and soak this all in at the same time. Minimal editing to boot!
I guess the only bad part was all the snail goobers on my pillow. -_-
104/365: Shake it Out on Flickr.
Today while I was running Florence and the Machine came up on shuffle (and inspired this photo).
I saw the band perform live in December and I can say with confidence that Florence is the most graceful, beautiful and exuberant person I have ever come across. It was almost like she floated across the stage…and that voice is one of a kind.
I went into the thrift store near my house and bought this sheer cape. I love the way it picks up in the wind. :)
Another attempted expansion. The sky is real!
Meyrin Field on Flickr.
My first idea for Friday the 13th….it’s technically over now since it’s 3 a.m. I didn’t want to add this to the 365 because it’s almost the same concept as Day 57. Similar, but with a very different mood to it.
Story time. I’m not very superstitious, but a couple years ago something weird happened. I used to ride horses when I was younger, so I would hang a horseshoe upside down above my door for good luck. I closed the door (lightly) and the stupid thing fell directly on my head and nearly knocked me unconscious. I was wearing my “lucky” necklace…never wore it again.
Did anything bad happen to you?
103/365 on Flickr.
Happy Friday the 13th!
While you all are at home in sweatpants with hot tea staring out at the rain through the window, I will be in a field, muddy and soaked to the core. At this rate I’m going to ruin all of my clothes. I must say it’s kind of nice having no one around in times of bad weather….although this guy in a truck sped up through a puddle and tried to splash me. People are so charming.
I shot senior portraits for my friend Kathy today. Perfect light on a cloudy day, but it was cut short when the rain started. I’m pretty satisfied with what I managed to get. :)
Wanted to get this up before I go to work…won’t be off until 1 a.m. -_- It was tough deciding which photo to upload, so there might be another up later. I never sleep anyway…see ya guys later.
102/365: Cast No Shadow on Flickr.
Chained to all the places that he never wished to stay
Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say
As he faced the sun he cast no shadow
I love Oasis.
So…when I don’t have any ideas all I need to do is play with my hair. This should get me through the next 262 days, right? I haven’t cut my hair for an entire year. Let’s see how long it gets by the end of this!
Not quite sure how I feel about this yet. Pointless unless viewed larger.
100/365: Unsteady Ground on Flickr.
Happy 100 days! :) I can’t believe it snuck up so fast.
I’ve had this idea in my head for awhile but I needed some assistance transporting the chair. Andrew helped me out again. I lost my balance a couple times and almost ate shit. He laughed.
This field is infested with snails. The only thing to fear in this snail utopia is me stepping all over them. There were many…many casualties today. Do not leave your shoes unattended in this field. Five or six of them decided to camp out in mine. Ew.
I attempted stitching again..seven photos this time. One day I will be really good at this (hopefully).
