229/365: Golden Slumbers on Flickr.
So…this is my very first time expanding myself and I have to say it is quite difficult. Not to mention I totally screwed up my expansion by keeping the lens on AF. -_- I was forced to clone most of the surrounding area.
Inspired by Time Keeper by Kiara Rose. This girl is incredible and has been a huge source of inspiration to me throughout my project. She has a month left until the end of her own 365…if you’re not already following her I suggest you check her out. :)
218/365: Bookends on Flickr.
I had a rough day the other day…the field at golden hour always seems to make me feel better.
I swear photography is 100X better than keeping a diary.
215/365: Indian Summer on Flickr.
213/365: Amazing Life on Flickr.
It’s good to feel alive
Feel alive, feel alive
This amazing life
This amazing life
Relax it’s easy, relax it’s easy
This amazing life
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of shooting during the golden hour…I hope you guys don’t either.
My pants now have snail guts all over the seat of them. -_-
197/365: Runaway on Flickr.
I was feeling sad,
Can’t help looking back
Highways flew by…
Run, run, run away
No sense of time
I’d like you to stay,
Want keep you inside
Run, run, run away
Lost, lost, lost my mind
-Yeah Yeah Yeahs
I think it’s pretty funny you can make out IKEA in the distance hahah.
I can’t believe day 200 is almost here.
190/365: Get It Wrong, Get It Right on Flickr.
Wind on the fields blowin’ your hair
We were cold, we were cold, we were cold
We were cold, hand to hold, hand to hold
Come to the hill, got a nest to build
String and grass, string and grass, string and grass
String and grass, be the past, be the past
Serious catch up day.
You can’t really see the mountain clearly, but all of the trees are dead white. There was a wildfire like 10 years ago. It’s eerily beautiful.
188/365: Step Out for Awhile on Flickr.
Sorry for going MIA again…I’ve been swamped with client work this week. I’ve been editing wedding photos for the past two days and feel like my head is going to explode.
I’ve been dying to get to these photos from Julian the other day. More on the way.
187/365: I Turn My Camera On on Flickr.
Consider this a “Nikon farewell” I know it’s kind of silly to get sentimental over a camera, but I’ve had this guy for just about five years now. I got it as a present for my sixteenth birthday…and I had no idea what the hell I was doing. Now, almost 21, I’m still shooting and making progress every time I pick up my camera (a little fancier now…)
I have always loved photography, that’s for damn sure. I’ve always believed that I could go somewhere with it too…it’s convincing everyone else that you can do it that’s the tricky part. I stuck with it even when no one believed in me.
The support and feedback I’ve received recently is incredible. I want to thank you all for believing in me too.
185/365: Maybe I’m Amazed on Flickr.
Today was an overall good day. :)
This shoot was so frustrating. The remote wasn’t working and the light faded quickly. Miraculously, the days when I’m about to give up are the ones when I can actually produce something decent.
No time to shoot for myself yesterday since I was at a wedding. I won’t be posting anything here, but you can check my Facebook page in a few days if you’re interested.
Tomorrow: My first article for the paper is running front page, my last day of work and MY MARK II WILL BE HERE.
I’m not excited or anything…
165/365: Here Comes the Sun on Flickr.
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right
163/365: The Death of You and Me on Flickr.
Let’s run away together
You and me
forever we’d be free
free to spend our whole lives running
from people who would be
the death of you and me
cause I can feel the storm clouds
sucking up my soul
-Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
One of my favorite days so far. You gotta view this large.
150/365: Soul Meets Body on Flickr.
I want to live where soul meets body
And let the sun wrap its arms around me
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing
And feel, feel what its like to be new
Death Cab For Cutie
It’s been awhile since I’ve uploaded something I am truly proud of. I’m pushing myself to try new things in post-processing. I spent a little extra time editing this yesterday so I didn’t get to the other photo. I’ll have two more up later (hopefully).
Inspired by Ibai Acevedo. If you’re not already following his work, I highly recommend you do so. :)
146/365: Blackbird on Flickr.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
HOME AT LAST. I’ve been camping in Mexico for the past couple days.
I have never been so happy to see my bed. Or go barefoot in the shower. Or rinse my toothbrush in the sink!
Time to get on track. Uploading through the night…more to come. :)
144/365: Summertime Sadness on Flickr.
Lana Del Rey
I think I’ll miss you forever
Like the stars miss the sun in the morning skies
Not really sad, I just think that song is so beautiful.
I edited this awhile ago…think it might have been from Day 118. Uploading for the sake of catching up…which increasingly seems like a daunting and near impossible task.
I may have to take this project at my own pace and cheat a little here and there. Hope you guys don’t mind.
143/365: The Birth and Death of the Day on Flickr.
Explosions in the sky.
Too tired to edit today’s photo. Nighty night.
