200/365: Six Days at the Bottom of the Ocean on Flickr.
Day 200…is this real? The progress I’ve made since I started this project is truly astounding. I never believed I could grow so much in as little as six months.
I had a concept involving balloons planned for this. I went to Vons and asked for 12 rainbow balloons only to be informed there is a “nation wide helium shortage.” Not sure if I believe this since there were THOUSANDS of balloons at pride.
This looked awesome in black in white too, but I’m a sucker for blue. I stepped on a dead jellyfish…ew. And yes, I did buy roses for myself.
I have to go take my picture for today before I lose the light. See ya later. :)

Do you want to go to the seaside?
I’m not trying to say that everybody wants to go
I fell in love at the seaside
She handled her charm with time and slight of hand, and oh
But I’m just trying to love you
In any kind of way
But I find it hard to love you girl
When you’re far away
One of my first favorite bands…saw them perform here twice.
Bought this starfish the other day in Ocean Beach. I’ve been loving shooting at the beach lately. :)

I woke up early and no one else in the camp was awake.
I wandered down to the deserted beach and pondered life with Bon Iver.
125/365: Fields of Gold on Flickr.
Sitting in this field watching the sunset light up the field was therapeutic. I come back to this place almost everyday for photos. It’s beautiful…snails and all.
You’ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in the fields of gold
So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold
I will be caught up with editing later tonight. Working on my collab photo now.
119/365: Ishtar Gate on Flickr.
Week two of my “Art through the Ages” collaboration with Glenda. Her photo should be up soon!
Next on the timeline is Mesopotamian art. The Ishtar Gate was the eighth gate to the inner city of Babylon constructed in 575 B.C.
Inspired by the blues and golds…and the lions of course. I was thinking about how to incorporate them and then I remembered I have a mane of my own.
Somewhat awkward shooting this since I live in such an urban area…this brick wall is the backside of a restaurant facing a parking lot. Getting pretty comfortable doing odd things with strangers watching. I’m pretty satisfied with how this turned out. :)

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what no inspiration looks like. One of the more frustrating shoots I’ve had in awhile…I hate shooting at this time of day but I didn’t really have a choice.
Can I just ditch all of my responsibilities and run away with my camera? Thanks.

Happy Friday the 13th!
While you all are at home in sweatpants with hot tea staring out at the rain through the window, I will be in a field, muddy and soaked to the core. At this rate I’m going to ruin all of my clothes. I must say it’s kind of nice having no one around in times of bad weather….although this guy in a truck sped up through a puddle and tried to splash me. People are so charming.
I shot senior portraits for my friend Kathy today. Perfect light on a cloudy day, but it was cut short when the rain started. I’m pretty satisfied with what I managed to get. :)
Wanted to get this up before I go to work…won’t be off until 1 a.m. -_- It was tough deciding which photo to upload, so there might be another up later. I never sleep anyway…see ya guys later.
91/365: That Sinking Feeling on Flickr.
There are a lot of things going on in my life that could drag me down right now…keeping my head above water.
This was both time consuming and fun to edit. I felt like I was painting a picture. :) I might revisit this several times before I’m completely happy….

Some of my favorite photos end up being the ones where I have no clue what I’m going to do. Then I just kind of make something up out of nothing.
Long day at work. Sometimes my job makes me question the intelligence of the human race.
Now I’m being set up on a blind date…better get ready! Here goes nothing.

Who says fish make boring pets?
Bought this little guy today. His name is Shark.
I’ve had some bad luck with previous fishies…but I’m determined to prove I’m fit to be a fish owner.

I’m like a bird.
I like the randomness of this project so far. New surprises everyday…stay tuned.

So last time I tried this project I only made it through a month. Taking only self-portraits was a bigger task than I anticipated. This time you will see an array of pictures from my everyday life.
I don’t really think this is cheating. I visited my grandparents in Arizona last October and haven’t uploaded the pictures until recently.
Santa was good to me this year…must have been on the nice list. He brought me Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom. :) Needless to say I am a very happy camper.
